Job summary

Signature HealthCARE in Kinston, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct resident care, including medication administration and wound care, while supervising nursing staff on shift. You will monitor residents, update care plans, and coordinate admissions and discharges with the interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, have 1+ year of clinical nursing experience (LTC preferred), and familiarity with EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration and wound care.
• Supervise nursing assistants and medication aides during the assigned shift in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
• Monitor and observe residents’ physical and emotional status; notify the attending physician and responsible party of any change in condition.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized resident care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges according to established procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, staff education, and regulatory surveys as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or designee.
