Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Good Samaritan provides individualized nursing care using the nursing process across all phases of care for residents at the Luverne facility. You will collaborate with residents, families and a broad care team to plan, implement and evaluate outcomes.

Opportunity to serve as charge nurse; you will support licensed and unlicensed staff while maintaining standards in a Christian, not-for-profit environment with comprehensive benefits and a 36-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA).
• Current RN license in the state or multi-state license if in a compact state.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatrics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Coordinate care with residents, families and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan and evaluate care.
• May serve as charge nurse and supervise licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Adhere to the Nurse Practice Act and professional standards.
