Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, TN seeks an RN to provide quality patient care on the assigned unit. Under supervision of the Director and Clinical Manager, you will use the nursing process, supervise staff, and participate in care coordination.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care documentation, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians. Requires TN RN licensure, BLS within orientation, ACLS/PALS preferred, and NRP within one year.

Qualifications

• Completion of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree in nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Tennessee.
• BLS certification within orientation; ACLS & PALS preferred; NRP within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments using the nursing process and age-specific needs.
• Document assessments and care in the patient record; monitor staff documentation.
• Coordinate bedside care and assist with or delegate skilled procedures.
• Administer or supervise medications, IVs, blood, and blood products.
• Communicate with physicians and assist with treatments and rounds.
• Supervise nursing personnel, assign tasks by patient acuity, ensure order transcription accuracy.
