Job summary

Physicians Regional Medical Center - Collier campus is seeking an RN Charge Nurse for Med/Surg during the night shift. The RN Charge oversees unit operations, supervises staff, coordinates care with healthcare teams, and ensures compliance with hospital policies to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role requires 1–2 years of nursing experience, state RN licensure, and BLS. ACLS is preferred as part of the qualifications for this leadership position in a busy Med/Surg unit.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• RN licensure in state or compact.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and supports nursing and support staff, delegating tasks as needed.
• Evaluates staff performance and provides coaching to maintain care standards.
• Oversees patient care planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinates care with healthcare teams and manages patient flow.
• Ensures effective communication among physicians, patients and departments; conducts unit handoffs.
