Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Communications Center (Central Triage) at the Riedman Center. In-person training lasts eight weeks, with a future option for remote or hybrid work once trained; occasional in-office attendance remains required.

The role covers assessment, care planning, education, and collaboration with the care team across shifts (days/evenings/nights/weekends).

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Registered Nurse license in New York State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient and documents findings.
• Demonstrates clinical judgment in responding to priority patient needs.
• Plans, implements and evaluates individualized care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provides education to patient and family and updates documentation accordingly.
• Leads the care delivery team and participates in problem-solving at unit level.
