Job summary

Cynet Health seeks an experienced RN for the Cardiac Progressive Care/Telemetry CCU unit in California. The traveler will provide 13-week coverage for CCU patients, with day shifts on a 12-hour schedule and 36 hours per week.

Requirements include 2 years of Critical Care experience, current CA RN license, and BLS/ACLS. EPIC charting experience is required. The role may involve floating to Med/Surg and other units and requires holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Ability to float to Med/Surg and other units as needed.
• Upcoming traveler assignment for 13 weeks on CCU.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for medium to high acuity cardiovascular patients in CCU.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans.
• Perform pre/post-operative cardiac care as needed.
• Maintain patient safety with patient-to-nurse ratio up to 1:4.
• Be flexible to float to other units and cover holidays as required.

Description:The Cardiovascular Unit provides medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care to admitted patients classified as medium to high acuity.Patients admitted to the unit are stable but have a high potential of becoming unstable.The patient population consists of young adults through the geriatric community.Examples of patients include those with cardiac diagnoses, pre/post cardiac artery bypass surgery, carotid endarterectomy, Acute Myocardial Infarction, post pacemaker insertion, arrhythmia detection, congestive heart failure, pneumonia, and other similar disease processes.The patient-to-nurse ratio shall not exceed 1:4.Candidates must be willing to float to other units as needed.Holiday coverage will be required.
