Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced RN for CVICU, a 13-week assignment on night shifts (12 hours). The role focuses on caring for patients with complex cardiac conditions in a Level 1 facility.

Candidates must have at least 1 year in CVICU, a valid nursing license for Virginia, ACLS/BLS certifications, and EPIC charting experience. Responsibilities include invasive monitoring and supporting post-op care including CRRT/ECMO as needed.

Qualifications

• Cardiac surgery ICU experience in a level 1 facility.
• Experience with invasive hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive IV titration.
• Experience with post-op recovery care including CRRT, ECMO, and circulatory assist devices.

Responsibilities

• Care for 1-2 patients with complex cardiac conditions (CABG, valve procedures, transplants).
• Perform invasive hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications.
• Manage post-operative recovery with CRRT, ECMO, and circulatory support as needed.
• Float within scope to other units as required and collaborate with PT/RT services.

Description:Cardiac surgery intensive care unit experience is required.Candidates must have experience in a level 1 facility.Must possess experience with invasive hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive IV medications.Nursing assignments include caring for 1-2 patients with complex cardiac conditions such as CABGs, valve repairs/replacements, and heart/liver/kidney transplants.Experience with post-op recovery care is necessary, including care for patients on CRRT, ECMO, and circulatory assist devices.Float within scope may be required.Preferred qualifications include experience in a surgical trauma ICU setting with a strong emphasis on the required skills.Ideal candidates will have experience with CRRT, IABP, and ECMO.The unit provides interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy and respiratory services.Candidates must exhibit proficiency in monitoring and responding to critical patient needs.All candidates must have strong teamwork abilities and effective communication skills.
