Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide full nursing care for hospice patients and develop effective Plans of Care. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to promote physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being.

Responsibilities include evaluating performance, maintaining confidentiality, and making sound clinical decisions to ensure high-quality, cost-efficient patient care. Georgia licensure and CPR are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required).
• 1 year of clinical experience required; hospice experience preferred.
• RN licensure (Georgia) or multistate licensure (NLC/eNCL) required upon hire; CPR required.

Responsibilities:

Assumes full nursing responsibility for the delivery of the Plan of Care for each hospice patient. Continuously evaluates personal and professional performance and makes necessary changes to increase productivity and quality of care delivered. Adheres to and supports the policies/procedures/goals/objectives of hospice to assure quality patient care. Strives for independence and sound critical decision-making regarding the delivery of patient care in a cost-effective manner without compromising quality. Develops the patient's Plan of care in collaboration with other professionals and implements treatment strategies based on scientific nursing theory that promotes physical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Familiar with the concepts and needs of patients / families who are facing death and dying. Effective communication skills, both verbally and written.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required

Work Experience

• 1 year of Clinical Experience Required
• 1 year of Hospice experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Upon Hire Required
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Current driver's license, valid vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation. Upon Hire Required
