Job summary

Andwell Health Partners in Maine is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse to provide skilled, compassionate care in patients' homes across Norway, ME and surrounding towns. You will develop and implement plans of care, manage pain and symptoms, and support families during the hospice journey.

The role offers meaningful 1:1 time with patients, autonomy in clinical practice, flexible scheduling, and a supportive team with HR, IT, Education, and Employee Experience resources.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maine.
  • Minimum of one year of recent clinical nursing experience.
  • Knowledge of pain management and symptom control practices.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver skilled nursing services in patients' homes according to physician-directed plans of care.
  • Assess physical, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients.
  • Develop individualized care plans with measurable outcomes with patients and families.
  • Manage pain and symptoms to maximize comfort and quality of life.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and family members to support informed decision-making.
  • Advocate for patient rights, preferences, and goals of care.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary hospice team to provide holistic care.
  • Offer guidance, reassurance, and compassionate support during challenging times.
