Job summary

Andwell Health Partners is hiring a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate nursing care in patients' homes and community settings across Augusta, ME and surrounding towns. You will deliver skilled nursing services, assess holistic needs, and work with families to develop and implement care plans that maximize comfort and dignity.

The role emphasizes autonomy, meaningful patient interactions, and flexible scheduling within a 50+-year trusted hospice partner.

Qualifications

  • RN license required in Maine.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
  • Knowledge of pain management and symptom control.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver skilled nursing services in patients' homes per physician plans.
  • Assess patients' physical, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
  • Develop individualized care plans with patients and families.
  • Manage pain and symptoms to maximize comfort and life quality.
  • Educate patients and families to support informed decisions.
  • Advocate for patient rights and goals of care.
  • Collaborate with hospice team for holistic care.

What You'll Do

As a Hospice Registered Nurse, you'll provide skilled and compassionate nursing care that enhances comfort, preserves dignity, and supports patients and families through every stage of the hospice journey.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering skilled nursing services in patients' homes in accordance with physician-directed plans of care
  • Assessing patients' physical, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual needs
  • Developing individualized care plans with measurable outcomes in partnership with patients and families
  • Managing pain and symptoms to maximize comfort and quality of life
  • Educating patients, caregivers, and family members to support informed decision-making
  • Advocating for patient rights, preferences, and goals of care
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary hospice team to provide holistic care
  • Offering guidance, reassurance, and compassionate support during challenging times
What You'll Bring
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maine
  • Minimum of one year of recent clinical nursing experience
  • Knowledge of pain management and symptom control practices
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
