Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a Registered Nurse to provide patient care within the RN scope, assist with patient flow, and prioritize workloads. The role requires NC RN licensure and education as ADN/BSN or higher.

Position is full-time, onsite with standard day schedule. An incentive of $10,000 paid over three years is offered to eligible applicants. Experience in physician offices or urgent care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Language Skills: ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and document clinical information.
• Math Skills: apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Reasoning Ability: define problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains compliance with policies and procedures.
• Provides patient care within RN scope, including assessments, exams, procedures, meds, and education.
• Processes orders, returns patient calls, and notifies physician of results.
• Documents care in the medical record.
• Facilitates patient flow and prioritizes work assignments.
• Maintains supplies and performs safety checks on equipment.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and uses evidence-based practices.
• Follows HIPAA/ OSHA and infection prevention policies; participates in unit-based improvement activities.
• Demonstrates good customer service and teamwork with patients, families, and staff.
