Job summary

Christian Park Village in Escanaba, Michigan is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee resident care on assigned shifts and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards. The RN will coordinate care plans and supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other staff to maintain high-quality, safe care.

The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care while using independent judgment in line with policies.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• 1–2 years nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, Medication Aides, CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
