Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process across assigned units. The role emphasizes collaboration, evidence-based practice, and ongoing professional development within a supportive team environment.

The RN will deliver comprehensive care, participate in discharge planning, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives while ensuring safety and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and has experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal compact state required.
• BSN is preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) required at hire.
• Additional certifications will be required according to the assigned unit.
• 2 years of recent RN acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Coordinate involvement of patient, family and health team members in care and discharge planning.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with the health team.
• Participate in quality and performance improvement activities and staff orientation.
• Serve as a liaison on hospital policies and procedures for nurses and health team members.
• Ensure safe patient/staff environment and participate in hospital committees.
