Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team. This role delivers direct patient care, coordinates care among nurses, physicians, and support services, and uses evidence‑based practice to ensure safe, high‑quality outcomes.

Candidates must hold a New Jersey RN license, have BLS/CPR and ACLS, and preferably a BSN with 1 year of acute care or ED experience; telemetry certification is required.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Science in Nursing strongly preferred or completed within 3 years of hire.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR and ACLS certification is required
• Six months of relevant nursing experience or active Nurse Residency Program participation
• 1 year of nursing experience in critical care or ED is strongly preferred
• Telemetry certification required
• Ability to learn quickly, strong teamwork, accountability, and patient-focused care

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate care and delegation among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• Follow evidence-based nursing practices to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Document patient assessments, plans, and treatments; communicate changes to the care team.
• Administer medications with bar-scanning and proper documentation.
• Support multidisciplinary discharge planning for safe transitions of care
