Job summary

Avera McKennan is seeking an RN coordinator to manage patient transfers across our hospital network. You will serve as the single point of contact for placement decisions, coordinating with nursing teams, physicians, and regional facilities to move patients efficiently.

Responsibilities include prioritizing transfers, monitoring delays, and using clinical data to ensure continuity of care. An active RN license and strong communication are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Oversees flow of patients from outlying facilities to ensure efficient entry into the facility.
• Prioritizes and places patients in appropriate regional sites.
• Acts as liaison with bed placement coordinators for timely transfers.
• Collaborates with physicians and nurses to assess patient placement.
• Utilizes information systems and healthcare technology in practice.
