Job summary

Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a compassionate Hospice Care Center Registered Nurse PRN for our Pinellas Park location. The RN will deliver inpatient hospice care, assess needs, coordinate care, manage symptoms, educate families, and supervise LPNs and aides during night shifts (8p–8a).

Required: 1 year bedside nursing, active Florida RN license, valid FL driver’s license. Experience with terminally ill patients preferred; float as needed across centers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year recent bedside nursing.
• Active Florida RN license.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• Experience with terminally ill patients preferred; acute/post-acute care experience helps.

Responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate patient/family needs; provide preventive and supportive care to terminally ill patients and families.
• Provide education and support; oversee LPNs and aides in the GIP environment.
• Float to other units as needed.

The Care Center RN PRN provides compassionate hospice care to terminally ill patients and their families in an inpatient setting. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, coordinating care, managing symptoms, providing education and support, and overseeing LPNs and aides.
