Job summary

Corewell Health's Cardiac Rehab program at Royal Oak Hosp is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse (RN) for full-time day shift in an outpatient setting. You will provide professional nursing care within the nursing process and emphasize patient-family centered care under leadership guidance.

Join a multidisciplinary team in a busy outpatient clinic highlighting care coordination, patient education, and program goals. Active MI RN license and ADN/BSN pathway are required or preferred per policy.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience required.
• State of Michigan RN license required.
• AHA/ARC Basic Life Support certification required.
• BSN/MSN or higher preferred; if not BSN, must enroll in BSN program within 1 year of licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory/outpatient setting.
• Utilize patient-family centered care within nursing process.
• Coordinate care under Nursing and Operational Leadership policies.

About Outpatient Clinics

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Scope of Work

The clinical nurse, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The Clinical Nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nursing and Operational Leadership according to policies and procedures within an ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree graduate (A.D.N.) or equivalent of an accredited school of nursing, required
• Bachelor's Degree (B.S.N., M.S.N., or DNP/PhD), preferred - if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within five (5) years required
• 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience, required
• State of Michigan Registered Nurse license, required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support certification, required
• Specialty certification, preferred
