Job summary

Meritus Medical Center is seeking an RN for the 4 South Cardiac, Medical, Observation, and Telemetry unit in Hagerstown, MD. This full-time dayshift role covers 72 hours biweekly with a potential sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.

You will monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• ASN required
• BSN preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
• Minimum of 6 months - 1 year of prior hospital experience
• Maryland RN license or compact license
• Magnet-recognized specialty certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to cardiac, medical, observation, and telemetry patients
• Perform comprehensive assessments and recognize changes in patient condition
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments
• Manage oxygen therapy, wound care, and other complex nursing interventions
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge plans
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Promote patient safety, quality, and an exceptional patient experience
