Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Stepdown unit on the night shift. The role requires an RN license in Missouri (or compact) and a nursing degree from an accredited program. A sign-on bonus is offered for experienced and new graduate nurses.

The RN will provide patient care using the nursing process, coordinate with other departments, and uphold patient rights and Mercy standards. Prior hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or BSN.
• Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred depending on unit.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required or to be completed within 30 days of hire.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule:Nights | Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Sign-On Bonus:

• Experienced Nurses:Up to$10,000

• New Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year of experience):Up to$5,000

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education:BSN preferred

• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred

• Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift

• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
