Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Stepdown unit to deliver high-quality patient care, coordinate with the care team, and uphold Mercy Service Standards during night shifts.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN) and MO RN licensure (or compact licensure); BLS is required.

Sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 for experienced nurses or up to $5,000 for new graduates are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: ADN, Diploma, or BSN.
• Must hold and maintain a current RN license in Missouri or possess compact licensure.
• Previous hospital experience is preferred.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule:Nights | Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Sign-On Bonus:

• Experienced Nurses:Up to$10,000

• New Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year of experience):Up to$5,000

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing

• Nursing Diploma

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education:BSN preferred

• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred

• Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift

• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
