Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking an RN for the Cardiac Step Down unit. The 38-bed unit provides telemetry monitoring for various cardiovascular disorders and post-procedure patients, with a strong emphasis on collaborative, interdisciplinary care.

New graduates are welcome and may join a mandatory Nurse Residency Program featuring monthly seminars, peer sessions, mentoring, and structured rounding.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing required.
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required.
• BLS certification required for RN roles; ACLS, NRP, and PALS preferred or required depending on unit.
• Academic preparation: degree from accredited nursing program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry-monitored cardiac care on a 38-bed unit.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning.
• Deliver patient-focused care with emphasis on safety and evidence-based practice.
• Support patients and families during transitions of care.

This unit is comprised of a38-bed unit committed to the health of our patients by providing the highest level of care using a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. The unit provides patient-focused, specialized care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring for various cardiovascular disorders, including cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure. Patients recovering from myocardial infarction, coronary intervention, pacemaker implantation and electrophysiology procedures are also cared for on this unit. Our unit also has approximately 50% regular progressive care-type patients. Cardiac Progressive Unit provides quality care to all its patient populations through a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach.
