Job summary

Presbyterian is hiring an RN for our Cardiac Step Down unit in Albuquerque. The 38-bed unit provides telemetry monitoring for cardiovascular disorders and post-procedure care through a multidisciplinary team with a focus on discharge planning.

New graduates are welcome, with a mandatory residency program. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for qualified candidates. Full-time, 12-hour night shifts; 0.90 FTE; non-exempt. Licensure requirements include NM/Compact RN and BLS at hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate Degree; degree from accredited nursing program preferred.
• RN license in NM or Compact State required.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on the Cardiac Step Down unit with telemetry monitoring for cardiovascular disorders.
• Deliver patient-centered care and participate in discharge planning for cardiovascular patients.

Responsibilities

Presbyterian is looking for an RN for our Cardiac Step Down unit.

The unit is 38‑bed, committed to high‑level care using a multidisciplinary approach. It provides patient‑focused care for telemetry monitoring for cardiovascular disorders, including arrhythmias and heart failure. Patients recovering from myocardial infarction, coronary intervention, pacemaker implantation and electrophysiology procedures are also cared for on this unit. Approximately 50% are regular progressive care‑type patients. The Cardiac Progressive Unit provides quality care throughout the inpatient stay and specialized discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate Degree; Degree from accredited academic nursing program preferred
• Credentials: Registered Nurse – NM, State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• BLS certification required at time of hire
