Job summary

St. Joseph Mercy Hospitals in Ann Arbor seeks a Registered Nurse for the 6 East Cardiac Intensive Care Unit/Progressive Care Unit. You will care for critically ill cardiac patients, including post-procedure and those with cardiogenic shock, using evidence-based nursing care.

Requires Michigan RN license, BLS; ACLS for certain departments. BSN preferred and a commitment to ongoing professional development is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing that enables sitting for NCLEX.
• MI RN license required; BLS.
• ACLS required for Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency departments.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care.
• Uses teach-back to educate patient and family.
• Seeks to prevent potential hospital-acquired events.
• Communicates patient status and priorities during rounds and handoffs.
• Adheres to HIPAA and institutional mission and values.
