Job summary

St. Joseph Mercy Hospitals in Ann Arbor, MI seeks a Registered Nurse for the 9E Progressive Care Unit. Responsibilities include assessing patients, creating and adjusting care plans, and educating patients and families.

Shifts include Day, Evening, and Night; full-time or part-time with every other weekend/holiday requirements. Required are MI RN license, BLS, ACLS for certain units; BSN preferred and serious consideration for candidates with Canadian experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nursing program eligible to sit NCLEX and obtain RN license. BSN preferred.
• Current State of Michigan RN license and BLS; ACLS as required for certain departments.
• All new hires must have a BSN within five years of hire or transfer.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and age-specific needs.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information to inform care.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises an individualized care plan.
• Uses teach-back method to educate patient and family.
• Effectively communicates patient status, priorities, and interventions during rounds and handoffs.
• Follows HIPAA policies and aligns with Mission and Values.
