Job summary

Sentara is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse for Cardiac Non-Invasive Stress Testing in Norfolk, Virginia. The RN will provide patient-centered care in ambulatory testing, perform assessments, education, monitoring, and documentation, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include patient education, vital signs, medication administration, and escalation per protocol. Requires valid RN license and ACLS/BLS within 90 days; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license is required.
• Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN exam is required.
• BLS and ACLS certification within 90 days.
• CV-BC Cardiac-Vascular Nursing or AMB-BC Ambulatory Care Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, prepare care plans, administer medications and treatments.
• Monitor patients before, during and after cardiac stress testing and respond to changes in condition.
• Document care in the electronic health record and coordinate with the care team.
