Job summary

Wexner Medical Center seeks a Capacity Management Specialist to support the Nurse Manager with patient flow and ADT operations. You will coordinate transfers, communicate with referring and receiving facilities, and maintain real-time data for transfer decisions.

Responsibilities include evaluating transfer appropriateness, attending meetings, and escalating system issues to management to ensure smooth patient throughput. In-person reporting is required within Columbus area.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Active Ohio RN license required.
• Minimum of two years in a clinical nursing role.
• Leadership and management skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient transfers from referring facilities to Wexner Medical Center.
• Communicate with referring and receiving hospitals/physicians professionally and effectively.
• Enter transfer information into the database in real time with high accuracy.
• Apply clinical criteria to evaluate transfer appropriateness and level of care.
