Job summary

The Banner University Medical Center Tucson campus has a great opportunity for a Burn and Trauma Quality Improvement Specialist. You will support the Burn program in Southern Arizona, influence patient outcomes, and coordinate burn education for patients, families, and staff.

The successful candidate will be an RN with ED/Burn/ICU and/or Trauma experience, a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field, and five years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or healthcare related field and RN license or equivalent clinical background.
• Five years acute care clinical experience.
• Ability to perform complex statistical analysis and problem solving.
• Ability to manage programs and projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates investigation, analysis, and responds to quality/patient safety issues and trends.
• Develops and analyzes data for administrative and clinical decisions; coordinates data collection and reporting.
• Serves as a resource and leads task forces to plan and implement quality initiatives.
• Supports implementation of facility quality and patient safety goals and regulatory/compliance programs.
• Acts as consultant and educator in program development and special projects.
