Job summary

Winston-Salem State University is seeking an Nursing Adjunct Faculty – Graduate NP for the 2026-2027 academic year in the Division of Nursing. The role involves teaching, mentoring, and supervising in primary care family practice to support the MSN–FNP program and student success.

Responsibilities include curriculum development, delivering theory and clinical instruction, and evaluating student outcomes. Appointment is time-limited for 1–2 semesters with compensation commensurate with education

Qualifications

• MSN degree required for didactic or clinical roles (PharmD for pharmacology).
• Two years of full-time nursing clinical experience if clinical practice.
• Current unrestricted RN license to practice in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain one.
• AANP or AANC NP/NM certification required for NP courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach the required number of credit hours per semester based on contract.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and update the nursing program's purpose, philosophy, objectives, and curriculum.
• Assist in curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation using a written plan.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to students in assigned courses.
• Plan and deliver theoretical instruction and clinical or laboratory experiences aligned with the MSN–FNP program objectives.
• Evaluate student achievement of curricular objectives and outcomes.
• Schedule administrative time for classroom, laboratory, clinical preparation, and student meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
