Ross Education Holdings, Inc. is seeking a part-time RN(BSN) Nursing Instructor to deliver lectures and supervise clinicals in North Canton, OH. The role requires daytime availability and the ability to teach on campus and in off-site clinical settings.

The instructor will review lesson plans, guide student learning, and accurately record grades using campus management software. Prior precepting or obstetric/pediatric nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved registered nursing education program, BSN or higher.
• Experience with precepting preferred.
• Experience with Pediatric/Obstetrics preferred.
• Two or more years in the practice of nursing as an RN providing direct patient care.
• Current, valid RN licensure in Ohio.
• Daytime availability.
• Must teach at campus and off-site clinicals.

Job Details

Title: RN(BSN) NURSE - CLINICAL NURSING INSTRUCTOR - PART TIME

Location: North Canton, OH - Canton, OH 44718

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in the Ross curriculum.
• Review lesson plans and prepare for class instruction.
• Grade and electronically record assignments.
• Actively promote student retention.
• Support externship activities as applicable.
• Perform related work as required.
• Accurately record grades, complete proficiencies, and attendance by entering information in campus management software.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved registered nursing education program, BSN or higher.
• Experience with precepting preferred.
• Experience with Pediatric/Obstetrics preferred.
• Two or more years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio.
• Daytime availability.
• Must be able to teach at the campus and off-site clinicals.
• Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics.
• Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings.
• Knowledge of subjects that will be taught and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum.
• Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment.
• Sufficient ability to move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and facilitate participation. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, use whiteboard and classroom equipment.
• Ability to use current technology for maintaining student records (e.g., Microsoft, Campus Vue, Brightspace).
• Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames.
• Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor.
• Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum preferred.
