Job summary

Ross Education Holdings, Inc. in Sylvania, OH is seeking a part-time RN (BSN) instructor to teach clinicals and labs on a 2–3 day per week schedule, primarily weekdays, on campus and at clinic locations.

This year-round, daytime role features month-to-month scheduling with comprehensive training and experienced mentors to help you transition into teaching. Our campus emphasizes close student interaction and practical hands-on learning.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an approved RN education program, BSN or higher.
  • Current, valid RN license in Ohio.
  • Two or more years of nursing practice as a registered nurse.
  • Experience with teaching or precepting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct students in Ross curriculum, review lesson plans, prepare for class instruction, grade and electronically record assignments, actively promote student retention, support externship activities as applicable, and perform related work. Nursing faculty Primary Instructors accurately record grades, successful completion of proficiencies and attendance by entering information in campus management software.

This instructor will teach clinicals/labs - Part Time - 2-3 Days a week - M-F - at the Campus and at Clinic locations.

Year round, part time, daytime hours and month-to-month scheduling.

Responsibilities

Clinical Nursing Qualifications & Requirements
  • Completion of an approved registered nursing education program, BSN or higher
  • Experience with precepting preferred
  • Experience with Pediatric/Obstetrics preferred
  • Two or more years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
  • Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio Daytime availability
  • Must be able to teach at the campus and off-site clinicals
  • Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics
  • Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings
  • Knowledge of materials (subjects) that will be taught to students and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum
  • Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment
  • Sufficient ability to move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation.   • Ability to use current technology to maintain student records, e.g., Microsoft, Campus Vue, Brightspace
  • Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames
  • Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor
  • Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics
  • Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum, preferred
