Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care with an emphasis on oncology patients, including blood cancers. The role requires Texas RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within six months, and an ONS certificate within 60 days.

A BSN is required within 24 months for most hires, with strong communication and teamwork essential. The position may include a 10k sign-on bonus and access to extensive benefits and professional development resources within the Medical City

Job Summary And Qualifications

Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Texas Nursing Practice Act, with emphasis on nursing process / outcomes for oncology patients with emphasis on blood cancer and disorders.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing

Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license

• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS
• Effective 10/01/23, American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS required within six months of hire or transfer
• Effective 10/01/23, ONS Chemotherapy biotherapy certificate course required within 60 days of hire or transfer
• If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
• Strong communication skills in both oral and written format.
• Flexibility to intervene on a moment’s notice.
• Ability to problem-solve and seek assistance from team members when necessary.
• Ability to cope with death and dying.
