Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care for oncology patients, with emphasis on blood cancers and related disorders, in line with the Texas Nursing Practice Act.

The position requires a Texas RN license, current BLS, ACLS within six months, and BSN within 24 months. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and a comprehensive benefits package await the successful candidate.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Texas Nursing Practice Act, with emphasis on nursing process / outcomes for oncology patients with emphasis on blood cancer and disorders.

What Qualifications You Will Need
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing

Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license

  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS
  • Effective 10/01/23, American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS required within six months of hire or transfer
  • Effective 10/01/23, ONS Chemotherapy biotherapy certificate course required within 60 days of hire or transfer
  • If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
  • Strong communication skills in both oral and written format.
  • Flexibility to intervene on a moment’s notice.
  • Ability to problem-solve and seek assistance from team members when necessary.
  • Ability to cope with death and dying.
