Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson, KS seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health Unit on the day shift. You will provide professional nursing care under physician supervision and engage patients and families in care planning.

Responsibilities include mentoring new staff, accurate documentation, medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with the care team while upholding HIPAA and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• ADN required; RN license in Kansas or a compact state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of hire or orientation.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, AWHONN may be needed per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients under physician direction.
• Mentor, develop and train staff and students.
• Maintain accurate documentation per policy and care plans.
• Educate patients and families on care, medications, and self-care.
• Administer and evaluate medications in a timely manner.
