Job summary
Resources for Human Development in Sussex County, Delaware, is hiring a Registered Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team. The RN will provide medical expertise, develop assessments and treatment plans, and support health and wellness for individuals with behavioral health challenges.
This full-time position requires Delaware RN license, CPR/First Aid certification, and strong communication. You will collaborate with DDDS/DSAMH, maintain records, and participate in quality improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Delaware Registered Nursing License in good standing or Compact License.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Valid Delaware driver’s license with 3 years driving experience and clean record.
- Experience with electronic health records preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with substance abuse, co-occurring and/or mental health disorders.
- Detail oriented and strong documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates health care service needs of individuals served.
- Completes required medical assessments per best practices and licensure.
- Ensures services adhere to best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Delivers wellness and medical services per policies, regs and ethical standards.
- Maintains therapeutic alliance with individuals served.
- Coordinates with healthcare providers and guardians regarding health care needs.
- Complies with confidentiality and infection control regulations.
- Provides after-hours on-call support to staff.
- Supports data collection and quality improvement projects.
- Maintains client records per agency standards.
- Engages in professional development and training.
