Job summary

Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital in Western Massachusetts is seeking an RN House Supervisor for 12‑hour night shifts. You will oversee operations across units, lead nursing staff, and ensure safe staffing and high‑quality patient care.

The role requires MA RN licensure, BSN preferred, BLS within 30 days, and leadership experience. Comprehensive benefits and a $15,000 sign‑on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• RN license in Massachusetts required.
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• CPI or Handle With Care certification preferred.
• Behavioral Health or Psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Leadership or charge nurse experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to patient-centered and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess patient care needs and support clinical decision-making across units.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and patient coverage throughout the hospital.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and clinical support to nursing staff.
• Respond to patient care needs and assist with admissions or intake when needed.
• Support staff development, coaching, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including TJC, CMS, and state regulations.
• Assist with scheduling, attendance monitoring, and payroll coordination.
• Perform direct patient care duties as needed.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and efficient hospital environment.
