Job summary

Las Cruces Recovery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time, on-site position in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care, supervise LPNs and CNAs, and develop individualized care plans while coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include medication administration, accurate documentation, and conducting hand-offs. Ideal candidates hold an active RN license and have experience in behavioral health; CPR and de-escalation training

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years' nursing experience within the clinical area of service provided by facility preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and medication administration procedures.
• Ability to apply nursing standards and practice within an acute psychiatric setting

Responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate client care; develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Assess clients' status on an ongoing basis and communicate findings to providers.
• Administer medications accurately and securely with two identifiers.
• Document orders and patient care thoroughly; ensure proper transcription and verification.
• Provide education to clients and families about medications, side effects, and rights.
• Confer with treatment team and participate in unit activities and hand-offs.
