Job summary

• Graduate from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• 1+ years nursing experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and medication administration procedures.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs and develops nursing care plans.
• Maintains medical records and educates clients and families about conditions.
• Transcribes and documents provider orders accurately and ensures policy compliance.
• Administers medications per orders with two client identifiers.
• Notifies providers of significant changes in status or emergencies.
• Ensures accurate documentation and thorough hand-offs to oncoming staff.
