Job summary

A leading healthcare staffing agency is seeking a Float Pool Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to provide quality care across various inpatient units in Maryland. This position involves delivering comprehensive nursing care, conducting assessments, and collaborating with teams to promote optimal patient outcomes. Candidates should have at least 2 years of nursing experience and a current Maryland RN license. The job offers health benefits, a 401k plan, and additional perks. Job Description

The Float Pool Behavioral Health Registered Nurse will play a critical role in providing quality care across various inpatient units, including children, adolescents, and adults. Nurses in this position must possess strong clinical judgment, assessment skills, and leadership qualities, and will be expected to float among 19 different inpatient units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a behavioral health setting.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and intervene as necessary.
• Act as charge RN when required without additional charge pay.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 6 months to 1 year in a Psych/Behavioral health setting.
• Current RN license in the state of Maryland.
• BCLS certification required.
• Experience with Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR is preferred.
