Job summary

Life Opportunities Unlimited (LOU) in Ridgewood, NJ, seeks an Associate Director, Clinical/Medical Services (RN) to lead medical services for adults with developmental disabilities within residential and day programs.

The role ensures compliance with NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities, maintains medical records, coordinates physician forms, and supervises staff to meet regulatory standards while advocating for participant needs and quality care.

Qualifications

• RN license required and current.
• 1–3 years of management or leadership experience.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with complex calendar management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
• Must be able to complete all mandated trainings and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and develop training curricula per standards.
• Ensure accurate completion of physician forms/prescriptions.
• Administer medical needs of individuals and supervise staff.
• Maintain medical records and schedule medical appointments.
• Attend ISP meetings and trainings as directed.
• Collaborate with coordinators, therapists, and staff to meet needs.
• Monitor and administer medications per procedures.
• Act as liaison between offices, homes, families, and coordinators.
• Conduct comprehensive medical assessments as needed.
