Westwood Nursing & Rehab Center in Florida is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to become the Assistant Director of Nursing for our skilled nursing facility. The role provides clinical and organizational leadership to the Director of Nursing and requires prior supervision or ADON experience in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of supervisor or ADON experience in long-term care
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Supports deficiency-free status by monitoring Medicare/Medicaid compliance and reporting issues
• Ensures staff orientation and ongoing in-service training
• Maintains clear communication with residents and families about care plans
• Oversees nursing care quality and provides feedback for performance reviews
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and organization policies
• Keeps up-to-date with regulations, infection control and QAPI requirements
• Coordinates discharge planning and ensures continuity of care across providers
• Participates in 24/7 on-call/weekend rotation for RN coverage
