Job summary

Singing River Health System is launching an RN Apprenticeship program combining classroom study with clinical training. Apprentices attend classes at a partnered nursing program campus and work under an RN preceptor, APRN, or physician to gain practical experience.

During the program, apprentices will record vital signs, discuss chief health concerns, perform testing, and help with injections and procedures while adhering to SRHS policies and training progression.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in Singing River Health System RN Apprenticeship program.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Clinical healthcare experience preferred.
• Must have Mississippi RN license upon completion.
• BCLS certification by orientation end; ACLS/TNCC/PALS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under supervision of RN preceptor, APRN, or physician.
• Record vital signs and assess residents' health concerns.
• Perform tests and administer injections as appropriate.
• Assist with procedures and documentation per SRHS policies.
• Maintain safety and infection control practices in accordance with guidelines.
