Job summary

Singing River Health System is offering a Medical Assistant Apprentice program. The apprentice will undergo 1.5 years of academic and clinical training, mentored by a physician, with supervision and adherence to hospital policies.

The role supports nursing staff and patient care within established care plans. Candidates should have a high school diploma, be on track to obtain RMA (AMT/ARMA) by program end, and maintain BCLS as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must become Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with AMT or ARMA by program end.
• Maintain BCLS certification upon hire/transfer.
• Minimum 1 year MA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of supervising physician and apprenticeship Course Instructor.
• Assist nursing staff to deliver nursing care per the established plan of care.
• Follow Singing River Health System policies, procedures, and accreditation guidelines.
