Job summary

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks a registered nurse for the Apheresis Clinic. You will monitor and care for patients during HPC collection and therapeutic procedures, including plasmapheresis and related therapies.

Direct patient care awaits in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program and an active RN license with at least 1 year of RN experience; BSN and BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with associates degree, nursing diploma, bachelor's or master's in nursing.
• Valid RN license; minimum of 1 year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and care for patients during HPC collection and therapeutic plasmapheresis, TP, Photopheresis, and reductions.
• Provide direct patient care to inpatient and outpatient populations.
• Support research, education of students and residents within the Apheresis Clinic.

Summary of Job Duties:

The purpose of this position is to monitor and care for patients during the collection of HPC and during therapeutic plasma exchanges, TP, Photopheresis, White blood cell reduction, and platelet reduction. The UAMS Apheresis Clinic is the only one of its kind in the state of Arkansas. We focus on improving patient outcomes by performing advanced apheresis techniques, research, and educating students and Residents. This position will provide direct patient care to inpatient and outpatient populations with a wide variety of conditions.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing ; Valid RN License; Minimum of 1 year Registered Nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN RN
• BLS certification
• Experienced in critical care, myeloma, or dialysis
• Experienced with indwelling ports and catheters
