Join Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital as an RN Ambulatory - Urology. You will provide nursing care in an ambulatory setting at a Magnet-recognized facility, leveraging state-of-the-art technology to enhance patient experiences.

This day shift runs 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for professional development within Urology-Ambulatory Operations and regional travel to support clinics and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
• One year of RN/ambulatory clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to travel regionally to support clinics and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, perform nursing assessments and triage calls.
• Administer medications and treatments; initiate CPR when needed.
• Notify physicians of abnormal findings and coordinate care plans.
• Assist with diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and equipment.
• Educate patients and families; cover other nursing roles as needed.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgeries.

As an RN, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. A caregiver in this position works Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.

• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.

• Administer medication and treatments.

• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.

• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.

• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment.

• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.

• Cover other nursing roles within the department.

• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

• In areas performing moderate sedation procedures and/or cardiac stress testing, must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within six months of hire

• One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
• May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
• Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
• Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
