Cleveland Clinic Health System's Main Campus is seeking an RN Ambulatory for Plastic Surgery to join a world-class team delivering ambulatory care. In this role you will perform nursing assessments, administer medications, conduct telephone triage, initiate care plans, and provide health education; travel within the region to support physician clinics.

Qualifications: Nursing degree (Diploma/ADN/BSN), current RN license, BLS; ACLS within six months as applicable; 1 year of RN/clinical

  • Current RN licensure in the state where practice occurs.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS within six months where applicable.

As an RN, you willassist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.

A caregiver in this position works 4-10s, from 7:00am - 5:30pm. No weekends or on-call.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.

  • Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.

  • Administer medication and treatments.

  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.

  • Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.

  • Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment.

  • Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.

  • Cover other nursing roles within the department.

  • Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

  • In areas performing moderate sedation procedures and/or cardiac stress testing, must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within six months of hire

  • One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
