Job summary

University Health in Texas seeks an experienced nursing leader to direct Cardiology Services across three hospitals and ten outpatient locations. The Director will guide clinical operations, support continued growth across the cardiovascular specialty, and help ensure patients and providers have the resources and coordination they need.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Current Registered Nurse license.
• At least five years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of personnel, administrative, and financial practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word or similar business applications.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise operations across assigned cardiovascular services, partnering closely with the medical dyad.
• Provide direct oversight of clinical operations for General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Structural Cardiology, Women's Heart, Electrophysiology, Congenital Cardiology, Heart Failure, and Cardiovascular Surgery.
• Provide indirect oversight of productivity for Cath Lab, inpatient, and diagnostic services.
• Lead operational planning across three hospitals and 10 outpatient locations to grow the cardiovascular program.
• Oversee staffing, budgeting, fiscal planning, telecommunications, equipment, and facility development for assigned areas.
• Partner in physician recruitment and build strong working relationships with physicians and providers.
• Support growth and development of new service lines.
• Coordinate priorities with physicians, managers, supervisors, and senior leaders to resolve operational needs.
• Apply sound management practices to support effective, efficient service delivery.

The Director also provides indirect oversight of productivity across the Cath Lab, inpatient services, and diagnostics.
