Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an RN in the Ambulatory Neurology department to provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting. You will assess patients, perform triage, develop care plans, administer medications, and initiate emergency care when needed.

The role requires an RN license, a nursing degree, and BLS; ACLS may be required within six months. Travel to support clinics and procedures in the region is part of the job.

Qualifications

About This Role

As an RN in the Ambulatory Neurology department at Cleveland Clinic, you will provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, assisting fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care to patients and families.

Highlights

• Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift
• Pay: $41.00/hour

What You’ll Do

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.
• Administer medication and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)

Experience:

• One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within six months of hire (if applicable)
