Job summary

About This Role

As an RN in the Dermatology department at Cleveland Clinic, you will provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, assisting fellow caregivers and directly interacting with patients to enhance their healthcare experience.

What You'll Do

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt, and document health education for patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed.

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience:

• One year of recent experience as an RN
• Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant, or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience for current Cleveland Clinic caregivers

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
