Cleveland Clinic in Independence, OH is seeking an experienced RN for the Independence Family Health Center to provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting and to partner with patients and families to improve care outcomes.

The role requires comprehensive assessments, telephone triage, medication administration, CPR readiness, and the ability to travel regionally to support clinics and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• ACLS Certification within six months of hire (if applicable).

About This Role

As an RN in the Independence Family Health Center, you will provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, interacting directly with patients and families to enhance their healthcare experience.

Highlights

What You'll Do

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.
• Administer medication and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt, and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
• Experience: One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role.
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within six months of hire (if applicable)
