Job summary

Garden City Healthcare Center in Modesto, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time night coverage across all shifts. You will support the DON/ADON, supervise staff, and provide direct nursing care, including meds and treatments.

Expect to enforce policies, coordinate care, and ensure safety and infection control in a SNF setting. The ideal candidate has an active California RN license, CPR, and at least 2 years in a skilled nursing environment, with strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in SNF/long-term care.
• CPR certification and licensure required, good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration and treatments.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and notify physicians/families as needed.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Review nursing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure infection control, safety, and emergency procedures are followed.
• Assist with care planning, MDS coordination, and discharge planning.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Full-Time ALL Shift Garden City Healthcare Center Location: Modesto, CA Pay Range: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour (DOE) Shift: All shifts Shift Differential: Additional NOC differential provided Status: Full-Time Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) General Purpose

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Administrative & Leadership Functions
  • Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or ADON with oversight of nursing services during the NOC shift
  • Ensure nursing staff comply with facility policies, procedures, and job descriptions
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, audits, and facility surveys as requested
  • Complete required documentation, reports, and incident/accident reports
  • Protect resident confidentiality and report any unauthorized access to information systems
• Personnel & Supervision
  • Ensure adequate RN/LVN and CNA staffing levels throughout the shift
  • Supervise, support, and delegate duties to nursing staff
  • Conduct rounds to ensure quality care and compliance with nursing standards
  • Promote a calm, respectful, and resident-centered environment
• Nursing Care Functions
  • Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration and treatments

  • Assist with the overall supervision and management of nursing staff during the assigned shift
  • Delegated authority, responsibility, and accountability for assigned duties

Qualifications

• Education & Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
  • Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred
• Licensure & Certifications
  • Current, active, unencumbered California RN license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Knowledge and experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred
  • Must maintain all required continuing education and licensure in good standing
• Skills & Abilities
  • Strong leadership, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently during overnight hours
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds
